“Beyond a mere “announcer,” Graeme is a voice artist. What this means to me is he sounds like the voice I hear in my head while I write scripts-only less nasal. Some people just “get” the way a script is supposed to be read. Graeme is one of those people. ”

Demos

“I’ve just finished a marathon session with Graeme for Breaking Point [a Discovery Channel TV series], and I just wanted to say what a real joy it was to work with him. Luckily he ‘got’ the sense of the project from the get-go, so we really flew at it. Time was very tight for this record, and he found the tone and register straight away. But what was really great was that he teased out stuff in the VO that really added to the feel of the show for us. We’ve got a cracking series now. Also, as always, the VO record threw up the usual oddities, bloopers and confusions that appear at the final pass, and he was fantastic at helping solve them editorially on-the-fly. Which is always handy for a flustered producer! It was lovely to have someone who felt part of the team, rather than just knocking off lines.”

More About Graeme Spicer

You’ve heard Graeme’s voice – he’s narrated national commercials for Budweiser, Kia, Ancestry.ca and Laker Beer, to name a few. In the US he’s the national voice of Lennox Home Comfort. He’s narrated TV series for HGTV, Discovery Canada and AMI, and can be heard on literally thousands of voicemail messages across North America.

After spending 25 years in progressively more senior marketing and strategic planning roles at various advertising agencies and client companies in Canada and the US, Graeme left the corporate world ten years ago to pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a voice actor. His strategic planning and partnership development skills led him to America’s largest voiceover training company, where he was Managing Director for four years.

Graeme has used his previous corporate and media experience and his exposure within the voice acting community to become a strong advocate for the interests of voice actors. He is recognized as a thought leader on voiceover industry trends and business practices.
