A skill she’d love to acquire:
Circus arts! Like climbing up those long silks and spinning around in a giant hula hoop. It could happen.
Her dream profession:
Toy Demonstrator
Her favorite pizza toppings:
Deep Dish Detroit style with Jalapenos, pineapple, and ricotta cheese. Yummm.
Notable people she’s encountered:
I used to wait tables at the Plaza in NY and Bon Jovi would come in with his wife Dorthea – their love for each other was palpable

A hobby she’s enthusiastic about:
Drumming! I get to pound a bigass drum with an all women’s samba reggae drum line in NYC and it’s awesome
Something she’s always wanted to try:
cage diving with great white sharks
Her pet irritation:
mouth noise… not my own but others, particularly when eating and only from humans. I can’t.

A historical figure he’d love to dine with:
Michelangelo Buonarroti. Ever since I was a kid I was fascinated by this magnificent artist. He’d probably be a grumpy and generally unpleasant dining companion though. Bring more wine!
A skill he’d love to acquire:
Singing. I’ve always wanted to sing well. Actually since I’ve started in voiceover I’ve improved–at least to my ears!
How he tends to procrastinate:
I’m a project person and very handy, so I’m always looking around the house for things I can start fixing–usually big and time-consuming. My wife loves/hates it.

His most spontaneous act
I hopped on a plane to Dubai for the weekend since my husband, who was on a month-long business trip in Saudi Arabia, and I couldn’t meet there, so we decided to fly to Dubai.
A song that always makes him dance:
Worse, this one makes me sing along too: ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ by Tiffany
Notable people he’s encountered:
I’ve interviewed several celebs for the Belgian radio station I used to work for. Jim Carrey and Angela Lansbury, Phil Collins, Ellie Golding, Bryan Adams and when I was on the red eye from LA to DC, Aisha Tyler was on my flight.

Favorite Quote:
Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray. ~Rumi
Favorite way to unwind after long day:
Walk along Alki Beach
Accomplishment she’s proud of:
Creating deep friendships with my grown kids. It’s one thing to parent – and let’s face it, we all make some pretty egregious parenting “mistakes….” but, it’s a whole other thing to grow up with your kids, work and talk through all of those mistakes, and come out on the other side deeply connected as adult friends.

Best advice he’s ever been given:
“Can you do anything but try to be funny?”
It may seem brutal, but it came from the right teacher who respected and loved me, at the perfect time, and is the single most transformative sentence ever spoken to me.
Most cherished possession:
I have a blossom from an Irish gorse bush framed on my bedroom wall as a keepsake from the 4-5 weeks my wife and I lived and worked with a family in Donegal, Ireland. That blossom’s been to over a dozen countries and halfway across the world in my backpack.
Accomplishment he’s proud of:
When one of my audiobook narrations was deemed a Notable Children’s Recording by the American Library Association… I cried. I mean, how can you not when your work is described as being “of especially commendable quality that demonstrate respect for young people’s intelligence and imagination; exhibit venturesome creativity; and reflect and encourage the interests of children and young adolescents in exemplary ways.” (Then I found out that Meryl Streep, John Lithgow, Ethan Hawke, and a ton of narrators who I adore were also on the list… and I did a little dance.)

Movie that made them emotional:
Last night, I got emotional while watching Awakenings, a Penny Marshall film starring Robin Williams and Robert De Niro. It features a doctor (Williams) who hasn’t been sublimated by the system. He rebels against the cost-avoidant healthcare system and staff to try something new, to provide help for patients (including De Niro) that have been long forgotten and taken for granted.
Watching a group of people wake up from a decades long catatonic state and reclaim their bodies, their lives, shows how much we take for granted in this world. Seeing De Niro’s childlike grin at rediscovering movement gave me hope that we can all experience such an awakening.
Changed their perspective:
Every book and movie I read or watched during my Sport Philosophy and Sport Film classes in college. Blessedly, my teacher Dr. Mosher had a very loose interpretation of “sport.”
In particular, I dream after Daniel Quinn’s Ishmael. It’s a novel about a man who answers a classified ad in the paper to ‘save the world,’ finding himself face to face with a philosophical gorilla in a cage who is freer than any man. This ape forces this man and the reader to reexamine our history (of takers vs. leavers) and the stories we tell and what that says about our cultural perspective (and amnesia), demanding us to realize that the world doesn’t belong to man, but we belong to it.
They have always wanted to explore:
Oh, everywhere and everywhen! Antarctica. The Amazon. The new bar that opened in our neighborhood. Japan. Cleveland. Every place has magic if you’re willing to look.
But I often lose myself in what-if’s or could’ve been’s. What I truly want to be better at exploring and experiencing is the present moment.

Favorite quote or saying:
My son & I were having a conversation about my desire to pursue a career in voice acting. His response was, “If you succeed or you fail, it’s up to you. You have to ask yourself, ‘How bad do I want it?'” I think about our conversation when I face a challenge or I’m not motivated to complete a task.
She has always wanted to explore:
Egypt is on my bucket list. I would love to explore the pyramids. The Pyramids of Giza are thousands of years old. How on earth did the Egyptians build them? Fascinating!
She could eat this every day:
Curried anything! I love curry seasoning whether it’s Indian curry or Thai curry.

Favorite breakfast choice
My favorite breakfast choice is a fresh lebanese Manouche with Labne and Zaatarr filled with tomatoes, olives and mint leaves. YUMMM!!
Favorite Quote
My favorite quote by Maya Angelou is the cornerstone of my Voice Over career! “Words mean more than what is set down on paper. It takes the human voice to infuse them with deeper meaning” ~Maya Angelou
“Do small things with Great Love” by Mother Teresa is the motto I do my best to live on the daily.
Most treasured family tradition
My favorite family tradition is the annual chocolate pie song at Thanksgiving. It started when the kids were little and wanted to eat chocolate pie right after the meal. We needed to clean up and so we asked the kids to come up with an original song and as soon as they did we would serve their favorite dessert – chocolate pie! Over the years this became the annual tradition of singing for your chocolate pie! They were so creative and put on a fun performance that we look forward to every year!
We have great working relationships with multiple audio engineers and would be happy to bring on one of our favorites if you have additional audio needs like mastering, editing, or sound design.
